Opening a bank account on a DTV depends on the bank and branch. This is common practice, not a written rule.

Which visa is right for me?
If you need a long legal stay and work for clients outside Thailand, the DTV. If you need rights such as working for a Thai company, banking and credit, Non-B. If you are moving permanently and meet the income or asset thresholds, LTR. Take the quiz or message us and we will work it out with you.
How much do your services cost?
DTV: $3,800 for the main applicant, $2,250 per family member. Non-B with a work permit: $4,500 in total. LTR: from ฿450,000 including the government fee. There are no hidden add-ons.
When do I pay?
You pay when our work is done. For the DTV there is no deposit. For Non-B, a small deposit at the start and the rest at the end. For LTR, payment is split across the stages of the process. The agreement is sent before any work begins.
Do I need to be in Thailand to apply for a DTV?
No. The application goes through a Thai embassy, and which one depends on your passport. You do not need to visit the embassy in person. Details are on the DTV page.
What happens if the application is refused?
The outcome rests with the consulate and nobody knows it in advance. What happens in case of a refusal is set out in the agreement, which you receive before any work starts.
I have been refused before. Can you help?
Possibly. A formal refusal often comes down to how the document package was put together rather than to whether you are eligible. Send us what you submitted and the consulate's answer, and your case manager will tell you plainly whether it makes sense to apply again.
I already live in Thailand. Should I come to you?
If you know the process and need a quick, low-cost answer, we are probably not the best choice. We work best with people who are going through a Thai visa application for the first time and want it prepared carefully, step by step.
Who are you?
The Legal Thai is a private company, not a government body and not a consulate, and we are not affiliated with any government agency. The company behind it is Kaya Essentials, LLC, registered in Delaware, USA. We prepare documents, submit the application and support you through the process. The visa decision is made by the consular authority of the Kingdom of Thailand.
